Mental Health Support
Mental Health
Swakeleys School for Girls is a setting that understands the impact of trauma on students’ learning, behaviour and wellbeing. We build strong and trusting relationships with young people and prioritise the emotional and psychological needs of our students.
From time to time young people can require additional support with their mental health.
Place2Be
Swakeleys is a Place2Be School. We have a trained counsellor on the school site 4 days a week.
Welcome Message from Karen at Place2Be
Place2Be provides emotional and therapeutic services in primary and secondary schools, building young people’s resilience through talking and creative play.
Place2Talk is an appointment drop in session available to every student in the school. This supportive space can help young people think about any difficulties they may be experiencing from feeling unconfident, dealing with anxious thoughts, feeling stressed or overwhelmed, to troubles with friendships / relationships, or anything else that may be bothering them.
Appointments are available Monday-Thursday as a one to one, or pupils can bring a friend along. Group sessions are also available (up to 3 people)
Request an appointment by emailing place2be@swakeleys.org.uk or visit the mental health first aid station in the library to post a request in our confidential post-box
We are situated on the Top Floor, Sixth Form Building, room A186.
